Agence nationale de la recherche rethinks its digital presence with Plan.Net France

Courbevoie, April 12, 2019 - The Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR), the public body responsible for funding project-based research in France, is giving the Internet a facelift with the launch of a new website designed and developed by digital design agency Plan.Net France.

A veritable information portal, the new ANR site has been entirely redesigned to facilitate access to calls for projects and useful information for the scientific community. Following a major project to identify the site's various target audiences and their digital habits, Plan.Net implemented original solutions for organizing information on the site, including a call for projects calendar providing an overview of current and upcoming calls.

"The emphasis is on rapid access to the services expected by researchers, who represent the vast majority of the site's audience. The calendar of calls for projects is therefore a key function of the site, enhancing their visibility and making it easier for researchers to put together their applications.
However, the site's other audiences have not been forgotten, since partners and public or private institutional players also have a personalized version of the site, responding directly to their most frequent requests."

explains Natacha Guernic, Creative Director in charge of UX at Plan.Net France.

It was this personalized approach to information, as well as an understanding of the issues at stake for the ANR, that enabled Plan.Net, in close collaboration with ANR teams, to propose a site adapted to all its audiences.

"We wanted our new website to focus on its users, with direct access and targeted information. This is why Plan.Net's proposal for access by profile (researcher, institutional or journalist) particularly appealed to us, as did the idea of displaying all the calls for proposals at a glance, showing the diversity of our funding offer.
We also liked the design proposal, which is more up-to-date and in line with new uses.

confirms Corinne Le Ny-Gigon, ANR Communications Director.

This redesign follows a call for tenders launched in November 2017, which had put 3 agencies in competition, including Plan.Net France.

The new Agence Nationale de la Recherche website has been available online since April 2, 2019 at the following address: https://anr.fr.
