Gaming Safety at Stake

Challenge

As online gaming surged, so did UAE parents’ concerns over their children's digital safety. Threats like phishing, identity theft, and malware were just a click away. In response, the UAE Cyber Security Council and KPMG set out to make cybersecurity education engaging and effective, turning screen time into something parents could support.

A Nation Defends Itself Online

Solution

The world’s first Cyber Defense HQ was built inside Minecraft. With 690 million blocks recreating the UAE, students transformed into cyber officers, navigating tasks designed to teach practical defense skills. The challenge culminated in a 24-hour cyber siege simulation, where participants had to respond to a full-scale cyber attack and secure the country’s digital systems in real time.
