ALDI and Serviceplan 'at work' for the new emoji campaign!
Emojis are back at ALDI! After spotlighting sports last year, Serviceplan and ALDI are leading an initiative to inspire young people to dream about their future careers. Firefighter, astronaut, dentist, journalist, and detective are among the featured jobs, with newer professions like vlogger and pro gamer also included! In total, there are 30 different emojis to collect, 6 more than last year. All these jobs are set to music in a video with a catchy melody created by Studio Helsinki, featuring friends who find themselves propelled into a world of endless possibilities, guided by the emojis.
ALDI and Serviceplan hope that the spot's dance steps, choreographed by Indy Van Cauwenberg (Indysteps), will take over school playgrounds as a fun way to celebrate the start of the new school year.
The mechanics of the campaign remain the same: for every €15 spent at ALDI, customers receive a free emoji. These can be stored in a collection album, available for €2.49, which also includes two small board games. The campaign will run for a total of 6 weeks, or while stocks last.
Just like last year, the action is supported by a 360° communications campaign covering television, POS, digital, SoMe, Digital OOH, OOH, and more. This campaign is the result of a collaboration between ALDI, Serviceplan, and Plan.Net, with contributions from Colorbleed, Red Dust, Sonhouse, and in partnership with Boost, BOA Creative Agency, and Wavemaker. The campaign will cover the entire back-to-school period: from Saturday, 24 August to Saturday, 5 October 2024.
With this campaign, ALDI ensures that September is both fun and budget-friendly for young families, while also rewarding customer loyalty.
