In 2025, Il Sole 24 Ore celebrates an important milestone: 160 years of history.
Milan, Feb. 11, 2025 -Born in Milan on Aug. 1, 1865, as Il Sole, the newspaper evolved its role in economic information, merging with “24 Ore” in 1965, becoming an indispensable point of reference for the world of economics and finance.
To celebrate this success, the newspaper is launching Become Opinion Reader: a special initiative that puts readers' voices at the center. The campaign, signed Serviceplan Italia, will make readers-testimonials protagonists with the aim of telling not only the story of the newspaper, but also the deep connection with those who read it, live it and choose it every day.
Two phases of this storytelling: the first phase, from February to March, will invite interested parties to apply on the website. The second from May 22 to 25, during the 20th Festival of Economics in Trento, where the campaign will be officially presented. Eight readers chosen from all nominations will become the protagonists of a series of portraits, giving voice to the 160th anniversary of the newspaper.
