Janssen puts virtual reality to work for transparency with Plan.Net

Courbevoie, March 20, 2019 - Janssen France, a pharmaceutical laboratory belonging to the Johnson & Johnson group, presents its Janssen Window project, a virtual reality experience that follows the journey of a drug from research laboratories to logistics centers and preparation for distribution. The project was carried out by digital agency Plan.Net France, in collaboration with Plan.Net Technology and video studio Neverest, both members of the Serviceplan group.

Janssen Window is a virtual tour of Janssen's laboratories and production centers. Aimed at healthcare professionals and the general public alike, you can discover the history and commitments of the laboratory, the research and development processes for new treatments, the drug production plants and the group's logistics center for shipping to countries all over the world.

Plan.Net France brought its expertise in digital tools to the project, guiding the technological and narrative choices. The virtual reality platform chosen to broadcast the experience was the Oculus Go, to make it easier to share with healthcare professionals during dedicated appointments. Particular attention was also paid to narrative choices (casting a "greeter" to accompany the visitor, interactivity as the visit progresses...) to enable visitors to fully enjoy Janssen Window without being overloaded with information.

To carry out this experiment, Janssen opened the doors of its laboratories and factories to the Plan.Net and Neverest teams. The filming was thus able to take place under real production conditions. As the experience unfolds, visitors discover the day-to-day work of Janssen teams, and even gain access to sterile or restricted environments, proof of the laboratory's commitment to transparency in its project management and communication.

Pre-tested with healthcare professionals and Janssen teams, the Janssen Window experience has been positively received by all visitors.
