About 30 million Europeans with visual impairments struggle with simple tasks like identifying clothing colors or care instructions. The textile industry lacks inclusive solutions, limiting accessibility and sustainability for this underserved population.
The Solution
An inclusive beanie with speech-enabled garment info
In partnership with Ligue Braille and BShirt Rocks, Serviceplan launched the Talkie Beanie featuring a QR code inside. Scanning it activates speech synthesis on smartphones, providing color and washing instructions.
The campaign also promotes industry-wide adoption of inclusive standards, supporting the EU’s 2030 sustainability goals.
