Serviceplan and ALDI make the holiday season shine with Willie Witloof

For the fifth year in a row, ALDI and its longtime creative partner Serviceplan are launching an end-of-year campaign featuring holiday hero Willie Witloof. And once again, he has a clear mission this year: to literally put the extensive and affordable holiday range in the spotlight.
Willie Witloof, ALDI's ever-friendly helping hand, has once again been appointed to kick off the holiday season this year. He does so by turning on the lights — because without lights, there can be no celebration.
This way, he sets a festive mood and literally puts the end-of-year products and the low prices of the discounter in the spotlight. When he snaps his fingers, the garlands, candles, and other lights turn on.
The campaign is the result of a collaboration between Serviceplan (concept), Wavemaker (media), De Machine (production), Rabbit Hole (animation), Sonhouse (voice-over), Studio Henri (sound production and music), and BOA (KV shoot, POS, leaflet).
The 360° media approach includes TV, radio, digital assets, print, (D)OOH, social media, and ALDI's own channels (website, leaflet, POS). In addition to traditional media, there will be a lightbox in Brussels Central Station, and ALDI also organised an influencer event where a professional chef taught content creators how to create festive dishes using affordable ALDI products.
