The Museu de les Ciències de Valencia is a cultural reference of scientific dissemination, located in a unique enclave: the City of Arts and Sciences.
A space where science has been brought closer to all its visitors, reinventing and adapting itself to be always at the forefront, not only of scientific news but also of the latest technologies, making science stop being something cold, inaccessible and boring to become a place to interact, experiment, learn and have fun.
A milestone as important as the celebration of its 25th Anniversary deserved an emotional campaign that would convey the leadership of its 25 years of history, but with an eye on celebrating the future and all that remains to be built, to continue the legacy of making scientific learning an accessible and entertaining experience that inspires new generations.
A campaign that commemorates and moves us to reflect on the future of science.
Solution
Under the claim "25th Anniversary. We celebrate the future", we have built a program of activities and an audiovisual piece to pay tribute to the future, to all that is yet to come. With a tone of communication that excites and leads to reflection, because 25 years ago, the museum was opened not to teach everything that science had discovered, but to house and participate in future discoveries. And this is precisely the starting point of the spot: “25 years ago, we opened a museum to teach something that did not yet exist”.
With a documentary aesthetic, we combine resources of how we imagined the future 25 years ago, with images of scientific advances that we have witnessed, audiovisual material created with artificial intelligence and shots recorded in the museum. All this, accompanied by music created ad hoc, choral and optimistic, interpreted and recorded live at the Museum to serve as a soundtrack to the spot.
It is a campaign that connects with the essence of the Museum: to make science close and tangible, to entertain, to inspire art and technology and to awaken the need to continue exploring.
The piece is available in one-minute versions for digital platforms and 20 seconds for broadcast on television, radio and online environments.
In addition to the spot, the campaign is part of an ambitious annual program of celebration with disruptive actions to continue the work and positioning of the Museum: bringing science and art to society, reactivating the critical capacity in a playful way. This program includes promotional activities, scientific talks, lectures with experts and a large commemorative closing event that will culminate in a stunning three-day videomapping, in the Museum's own environment.
In this context of celebrating the 25th Anniversary, the whole set of activities works to reinforce the notoriety of the Museum at regional level and position it nationally as an emblem of scientific culture and educational innovation.
