The Museu de les Ciències de Valencia is a cultural benchmark for scientific outreach, located in a unique setting: the City of Arts and Sciences.
It is a space where science has been brought closer to all its visitors, constantly reinventing and adapting to remain at the forefront not only of scientific developments but also of the latest technologies transforming science from something cold, inaccessible, and boring into a place where people can interact, experiment, learn, and have fun.
A milestone as significant as the celebration of its 25th Anniversary deserved an emotional campaign, one that reflected the leadership of its 25-year history while looking forward to the celebration of the future and everything yet to be built. The goal: to continue the legacy of making scientific learning an accessible and entertaining experience that inspires new generations.
A campaign that commemorates and moves us, prompting reflection on the future of science
Solution
Under the claim “We turn 25. We celebrate the future,” we have developed a program of activities and an audiovisual piece to pay tribute to the future and everything yet to come. With a tone that moves and prompts reflection, because 25 years ago, the museum was opened not to teach everything science had already discovered, but to host and participate in future discoveries. This is precisely the starting point of the spot: “25 years ago, we opened a museum to teach something that didn’t yet exist.”
With a documentary aesthetic, we combined resources showing how we imagined the future 25 years ago with footage of scientific advances we have witnessed, audiovisual material created with artificial intelligence, and shots filmed in the museum. All of this is accompanied by custom-composed music, choral and optimistic, performed and recorded live at the Museu to serve as the soundtrack for the spot.
It is a campaign that connects with the essence of the Museu: making science accessible and tangible, entertaining, inspiring art and technology, and sparking the desire to continue exploring.
The piece is available in one-minute versions for digital platforms and 20-second versions for broadcast on television, radio, and online environments.
In addition to the spot, the campaign is part of an ambitious annual celebration program with disruptive actions to continue the Museu’s mission and positioning: bringing science and art closer to society while reactivating critical thinking in a playful way. This program includes promotional activities, scientific outreach talks, expert lectures, and a major closing commemorative event that will culminate in an impressive three-day videomapping show in the Museu’s surroundings.
In this context of celebrating the 25th Anniversary, the entire set of activities works to strengthen the Museu’s visibility at the regional level and position it nationally as an emblem of scientific culture and educational innovation.
