Challenge

Pantalones, a new celebrity-backed tequila brand, launched with limited distribution and a single retail partner. Its future distribution expansion was directly contingent on sales performance, necessitating a highly precise launch strategy. 

Blending precision targeting with playful celebrity buzz

Solution

Mediaplus implemented an omnichannel strategy focusing on both brand visibility and acquisition. We selected prominent OOH placements enroute to top retail doors, evening commute radio spots, and taxi swarms at key events to build brand presence. For acquisition, we geo-fenced retail locations and turned cell phones into POS placements with push notification advertising to capture immediate sales.

Measurement tracked both broad reach and direct sales. And most excitingly, for buzz, we placed owners Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves in provocative creative in noteworthy but niche publications, such as a pant-less ad playing pickle ball in Pickle Ball Magazine.
