Challenge

OMV was faced with a complex task: an image shaped by fossil fuels was coming up against growing concerns in society. Environmental issues, climate protection and uncertainties surrounding global energy supplies demanded a clear course of action and a credible commitment to change. OMV has set itself an ambitious goal: the company aims to be climate neutral by 2050 – a path that requires innovation, courage and determination to enable a sustainable transformation in line with security of supply. 

Transformation with vision.

Solution

To meet this challenge, OMV is sending a strong signal for responsible transformation with its slogan ‘Forward for Good.’ The campaign highlights how innovations in geothermal energy, sustainable fuels and the circular economy are paving the way to a climate-neutral future.

This message is communicated bilingually in Austria, with a planned focus on Germany next year. The advertising materials are diverse: a TV commercial, produced by film production company PPMNEXT_ and Swedish director Daniel Börjesson, forms the heart of the campaign. The ‘Forward for Good’ concept is complemented by megaboards, city lights, info screens, LED walls and the Skybridge at Vienna Airport, as well as prominent digital displays, social media, the website and internal communications.

This makes it clear that security of supply and sustainability are not opposites, but a vision that OMV is turning into reality with innovative solutions for everyone.
