More than 80% of Belgians shop at ALDI. With this remarkable figure from market researcher GfK, ALDI wants to amaze and confirm its position as a discounter that serves a very broad demographic. Serviceplan Belgium developed a TV commercial and the accompanying campaign.
Why do more than 80% of Belgians shop at ALDI? That’s the question addressed in ALDI’s newest TVC. The film makes a zoom-out movement from inside a family home to all of Belgium. A visualization to tell that ALDI house brands are a part of life in almost every Belgian household.
The film was developed conceptually at Serviceplan and produced by CZAR, with Lieven Van Baelen (Rookie, Stromae: Ta fête) in the director’s chair. Motion control was utilized to accomplish the seamless movement through a family home. This state-of-the-art technology makes use of robotics to achieve very precise camerawork.
So why do more than 80% of Belgians shop at ALDI? Simple: ALDI offers mainly house brands that can hold their own against A-brands -- at half the price or less.
