Meet our new Managing Partner, Media & Data - Nick Tong

Nick brings extensive experience in media strategy, data-driven marketing, and building integrated solutions for clients. Nick will be responsible for leading our media and data teams, strengthening our capabilities, and working closely with all of our teams to connect media across the business.

What made you want to join Mediaplus UK?

Mediaplus has a fantastic heritage, reputation, and award-winning work. What excited me most is the positioning in the UK, now backed by the scale and strength of the Mediaplus brand.


What are you most excited about as you step into the Managing Partner role?
It is an incredible and exciting opportunity to be part of something so early in its journey with Mediaplus. We are entering a new era where we can harness both technology and the scale of the group to do things differently.


What unique strengths or experiences are you bringing to the team?
I have worked in network and independent agencies across many categories, and in global, regional, and local roles. I bring first-hand transformation experience, plus a mix of brand and performance expertise, which I believe will help continue to keep our offering future-proofed.


What do you see as the key things that will impact our industry (and your role in that)?
Our industry is going through profound change, faster and deeper than anything we have seen before. That is both exciting and daunting. The challenge is finding ways to harness new technologies as they mature and applying them in a way that creates clarity and great value for our clients.


What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I have three boys, and my youngest represented Team GB in the 400m earlier this summer, which was a proud dad moment.


And finally, how do you like to unwind outside of work?
My boys keep me busy, but outside of that, I stay fit, love live music and travel, and I have been a keen property renovator over the years. And like most parents with sons, a lot of my home life revolves around sport, mainly watching, not playing.
