Esmée and Matthew are friends and collaborators who met in the Graphic Design department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. Esmée writes and researches questions of archive, fiction and interference. Matthew is interested in flowers and the stories they can tell, as part of a social, economic, and political system. They have been collaborating and making images together since 2024, including commissions for Leapday Newspaper and the OpenDay campaign for the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, as well as more recently on self initiated projects.
