Our client HORNBACH provides an inspiring and hilarious glimpse into the world of construction professionals with the reality series Klusklauwen. The series is a collaboration with Talpa and IDTV and will be broadcasted every Friday night on Veronica starting from August 25th.

"Dutch people are true handymen. From small to large projects, we tackle them, and we turn nothing into something," says Maarten Post, Head of Marketing & Communication at HORNBACH. "But of course, we are not all professionals. We have an idea of what goes on with construction professionals, but we never see it from the inside. Until now. Klusklauwen provides an extensive look into the world of two craftsmen, with all the blood, sweat, and jokes that come with it."

In eight episodes, the friends and construction professionals Arwin and Ed tackle projects across the country. They are not deterred by anything. They transform a messy shed into a relaxation space you never want to leave, and a tour bus into a tiny house. And they always manage to surprise you with a creative, quirky twist. This doesn't happen without a robust discussion from time to time, but always with indestructible humor.

"The program format, developed with Talpa and IDTV, is unique because such a reality look into the world of professionals is not seen anywhere else. In no form, but especially not when it comes to construction. And it aligns one hundred percent with HORNBACH," says Post. "Because we do nothing but tackle grand projects with 'both claws.'"

Craftsmen HORNBACH has previously collaborated with IDTV and Veronica, searching for the Best DIYer in the Netherlands. "In this new format, the emphasis is on professionals," says Post. "This doesn't mean that everything goes smoothly for them. Even professionals sometimes have to rely on perseverance. To do it. Dive in. Arwin and Ed take the viewer through their challenges and successes. Recognizable and entertaining at the same time."

In addition to the many old materials that are reused, the projects and materials naturally come from HORNBACH, Post mentions. "Supervision is in the hands of our own project coordinator Richard. As an experienced HORNBACH man, he naturally has a wealth of knowledge and a candid opinion that he doesn't hold back... And after work, he drinks a beer with the guys and toasts to another successful project."
