HOUSE OF ART

Rietveld Academy, Serviceplan Group & Freddy Tratlehner present...

House of Art brings together autonomous art and the creative industries.

At Serviceplan Group, we believe the worlds of autonomous art and the creative industries have much more to offer each other. With House of Art, we bring them closer together – creating space for emerging artists within our daily practice and fostering an exchange of ideas, opportunities and ways of working between the two.

NO FIXED OUTCOME

CURRENT SHOW:

No Fixed Outcome explores the creative process: ideas that are still taking shape, experiments without a predetermined destination, and makers who venture into new directions.

The title reflects an open way of thinking and working, where curiosity, imagination and the courage to experiment take centre stage. No Fixed Outcome leaves room for interpretation while capturing the essence of the exhibition: creativity has no fixed formula; the most compelling ideas often emerge when the outcome is still unknown.

The exhibition presents a new generation of Gerrit Rietveld Academie alumni working across a wide range of disciplines, materials and artistic practices. From sculpture and painting to photography, installation and moving image, the selected artists each offer their own perspective on contemporary life and culture.

THE STORY BEHIND THE COLLABORATION

Through House of Art, we build long-term collaborations with cultural partners that bring autonomous art and the creative industries closer together. Our exhibitions and initiatives give emerging artists a platform beyond the traditional art world, introduce their work to new audiences and spark exchange between both worlds.

The first edition, No Fixed Outcome, brings together three partners united by a shared belief in the power of creativity. The Gerrit Rietveld Academie represents a new generation of autonomous makers. Serviceplan Group provides an environment where creativity is translated into communication, media and branding. Bridging these worlds is artist, musician, entrepreneur and Rietveld alumnus Freddy Tratlehner (Vjeze fur), whose multidisciplinary practice naturally moves between art, culture and everyday life.

Together, this collaboration creates a platform where art, culture, media and the creative industries can meet, inspire one another and explore new perspectives. Not to blur the boundaries between these worlds, but to build meaningful connections between them.

It gives emerging artists visibility beyond the traditional art world while creating opportunities for the creative industries to engage directly with the makers of tomorrow and the ideas shaping the future of creativity.
