House of Communication launches in the UK

08.12.2025

Serviceplan Group, Europe’s largest independent, owner- and partner-managed agency group, is officially launching House of Communication UK, uniting its media, creative, and technology capabilities under one roof.

The new entity will be led by Thomas Laranjo, who is currently CEO of Serviceplan Group’s subsidiary, Mediaplus Group UK. Taking on the role of Serviceplan Group UK CEO, Tom will lead the expansion of the Group’s House of Communication (HoC) agency model. Already active across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the US, the model will give UK-based clients deep local expertise paired with the speed and flexibility of an independent network, and the global scale and long-term stability of a big international player.

House of Communication combines the services offered by Serviceplan, Mediaplus, Behave, and Plan.Net to deliver a connected offering covering, respectively:

  • Creative & content
  • Media & data
  • Consulting & transformation
  • Platform & technology

This means Serviceplan Group clients in the UK will have access to an integrated, full-service agency model built to meet the complex demands of today’s marketing landscape. Combining international reach with significant scale, HoC offers the buying power, tools and partnerships that drive competitive advantage.

Capitalising on the flexibility of independent agencies, the HoC approach is agile and client-centric, delivering innovative, highly awarded work grounded in behavioural planning and proven effectiveness. Above all, clients remain at the heart of the business, with the House of Communication set-up designed to solve challenges, unlock growth and deliver measurable results.

This partner-managed model works not with top-down management, but with entrepreneurial partners who bring local knowledge and the autonomy to act without waiting for boardroom approval. This unique strength defies the HoldCo trend of merging and centralisation.

This approach has helped Serviceplan Group retain its status as the leading Independent Network in both the WARC Creative 100 and Media 100 rankings.

The UK launch of HoC underscores the Group’s commitment to international growth with a particular focus on strengthening its presence in the UK. Following the acquisition and rebrand of Mediaplus UK earlier this year and the launch of Plan.Net UK with a team of over 30 experts, the Group is now focused on building a strong creative offering in the market.

Tom Laranjo, CEO, Serviceplan Group UK said: “Impactful creativity happens when diverse talents and disciplines come together. Our approach is a fresh take on the agency model, overcoming common barriers around siloed working  leading to fragmented messaging and slower execution. This unified strategy delivers direct benefits to our clients, driving innovation and simplifying access to the best talent, helping secure a competitive edge in an increasingly complicated media landscape to navigate.”

Markus Noder, International CEO, Serviceplan Group said: “Expanding the House of Communication model to the UK is a natural step in our growth strategy, building on its proven success in other markets. While many others are scaling back, we are actively growing our services to continue to enhance our offering to clients by bringing all experts together under one roof to encourage real cross-pollination, deeper collaboration, and fresh exchange of ideas.”
