All of Austria runs the G
With "Run the G," we made Geizhals part of running culture. The idea came from an insight: running thrives on comparisons, whether pace, distance, elevation gain, or equipment. That is exactly what Geizhals stands for. Our strategy was therefore not just to advertise the brand, but to bring it to life.
At the heart of the campaign was a four-week challenge on Strava: Users traced the iconic Geizhals "G" with their running and cycling routes and shared their results in the Geizhals Run Club. The best Gs were rewarded with new running gear, which winners could put together via Geizhals. The challenge was activated through influencers, paid social, and DOOH along popular running routes.
We put particular effort into developing an idea that credibly connects the brand and the running community. The outcome: high reach, strong interaction rates, and a fast-growing run club on Strava. Geizhals became relevant to a new target audience and successfully turned brand awareness into active brand engagement.
