Christian Schmitz has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Plan.Net Group, effective July 1, and been appointed to the Serviceplan Group Board. He takes on this new role alongside his position as CEO of THE MARCOM ENGINE. This joint leadership structure enables Plan.Net and THE MARCOM ENGINE to combine their expertise in AI-driven, end-to-end models for clients, while remaining operationally independent.
Munich, 22 July 2025 — Christian Schmitz has served as CEO of THE MARCOM ENGINE, the agency model for BMW and MINI, since joining the Serviceplan Group in 2021. As of July 1, he also takes overall responsibility for the Plan.Net Group. Together with the established Plan.Net Board, Schmitz will focus in particular on driving forward AI and end-to-end services. Across all five core disciplines – transformation consulting, creative UX/UI, commerce, CIM (Customer Interaction Management), and technology – Plan.Net actively integrates AI and has made significant investments in the field, including the development of its own “Agentic Services” offering.
“In recent years, we’ve built THE MARCOM ENGINE into a model that delivers true end-to-end capabilities, achieving both efficiency and effectiveness. We’re seeing a clear increase in demand for these kinds of models, especially on an international level. Within the Plan.Net Group, we combine consulting, experience, and technology expertise in a unified end-to-end approach – consistently enhanced by AI across all service areas. This enables us to support our clients in their digital transformation in a highly effective and efficient way,” says Christian Schmitz.
Florian Haller, CEO Serviceplan Group, adds, “Over the past few years, Christian has established and expanded THE MARCOM ENGINE as part of Plan.Net, turning it into an absolute success story. We are now expanding his responsibilities to include the entire Plan.Net Group and appointing him to the Serviceplan Group Board. I look forward to working with him to further develop Plan.Net as an AI-first provider.”
